History/Overview
The Audi RS Q8 builds on the already-impressive Q8 and SQ8 models, adding performance and style to create the pinnacle of Audi’s combustion-powered SUV lineup.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
The RS Q8’s updates for 2023 are limited to a few new standard features, which we’ve detailed below.
Available Trims
Audi offers the RS Q8 in a single trim, powered by a turbocharged 4.0L mild-hybrid V8 engine, an eight-speed transmission, and all-wheel drive.
Standard Features
New this year to the RS Q8’s features list are an extended full leather interior, and remote park assist plus.
Carried forward from last year are 22-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, four-wheel steering, matrix LED headlights, auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, and a power tailgate. Inside, you’ll find a heated steering wheel with electric adjustments, power-adjustable/heated/ventilated front seats with lumbar, heated rear seats, four-zone A/C, power door closers, an auto-dimming mirror, and a panoramic sunroof.
Infotainment functions are managed through a 10.1-inch touchscreen with satellite radio, navigation, music interface, Bang & Olufsen audio, and wireless phone charging. Additionally, the driver gets a digital gauge cluster and a head-up display.
Standard safety features include 360-degree cameras with parking aid, blind spot monitoring, forward and rear collision mitigation, intersection assistant, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning/prevention, and turn/emergency assist.
Key Options
RS Q8 options include a dynamic package of sport differential and active roll stabilization, and there is a quartet of cosmetic packs available: black and carbon optics bundles bring 23-inch wheels and either black or carbon fibre exterior trim elements; and RS design packs in red or grey add interior trim in either of those colours.
Fuel Economy
Audi’s fuel consumption estimates are 17.5/11.9 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
You can cross-shop the RS Q8 against a slew of other European high-performance SUV models, like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, and BMW X5 M and X6 M.
